Maintenance Technician Regional

Sharpsmart facility in Normanton and Spennymoor has an opportunity for an experienced Regional Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering and Operations team. The Regional Maintenance Technician will focus on repairing and maintaining our onsite machinery which is critical to ensure our machines can operate to capacity so we can continue to manage waste disposal for the UK’s healthcare industry.
The Maintenance Technician will be a central part of our Plant Operations team and will have full support & guidance from our wider Engineering team.

• Reactive & proactive repairs on critical machinery and site buildings as and when required & record within Maintainx
• Management and security of equipment and workshop tools including responsibility of stock control and spares
• Maintaining records for equipment and supplies
• Managing the boiler & plumbing systems
• Raise detailed purchase orders via Coupa
• Complete routine microbiological testing
• Carry out regular audits and checks and update internal maintenance system
• Routine management and maintenance of boiler systems and water treatment
• Routine Management and timely closure of work orders monitoring and logging all activities
