Description:
As the Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Maintenance Manager. In your role, you will work within the facility to troubleshoot, repair, and install both electrical and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the maintenance manager to ensure that the day-to-day maintenance needs of the operation are met and together develop and implement an effective preventative maintenance program
- Future possibilities may include coordinating the day-to-day maintenance/repair needs within the greenhouse operation from both an electrical and mechanical perspective (work with the maintenance manager to develop an action plan)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical issues with packaging equipment and general facility electrical needs
- Electrical wiring of new bunkhouses, offices, and other new construction projects as required
- Ensure all equipment receives the required preventative maintenance
- Ensure equipment, tools, and spare parts are kept tidy and organized
- Provide recommendations of upgrades/improvements for production equipment and the facility
- Ensure that adequate inventory of material/supplies are available to support routine maintenance needs
- Coordinate and provide assistance to sub-contractors as required
- Must have a high level of ingenuity to support the optimization of greenhouse equipment
- Has a good working knowledge in electrical, automation, and possess mechanical skills in order to carry out general farm maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, welding, etc.)
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Must have the ability to not only work independently, but also in a team environment with our growers and maintenance team
- Must have valid electrical license
- Required to be in an on-call rotation
- Some early mornings or late days are required to complete equipment maintenance of production equipment
