This luxurious hotel accommodates up to 400 people; in 85 rooms and 5 prestigious suites. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of the property facilities. This essential role ensures that all equipment, systems, and infrastructure in the establishment are functioning optimally to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional diploma (DEP) in building mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in general maintenance, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, heating, and security systems.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical malfunctions.
  • Good understanding of safety standards and safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating good teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail, precision, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
    Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written is required for this position as we serve an international clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, heating, security systems, etc.
  • Repair and resolve technical malfunctions and issues reported by guests or detected during regular inspections.
  • Carry out minor renovation work such as painting, wall repairs, floor covering installation, etc.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of kitchen equipment, appliances, and sanitary installations.
  • Monitor and maintain ventilation and air filtration systems to ensure optimal air quality.
  • Manage maintenance requests and assigned tasks through the maintenance tracking system.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to minimize disruptions during maintenance work.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance work.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and best practices in maintenance.
