YOUR OPPORTUNITY!

We’re looking for an Maintenance Attendant. The Maintenance Attendant is responsible for the effective functioning and upkeep of the physical appearance of the grounds, furniture and equipment in the retirement community while maintaining legislative compliance and safety standards in accordance with the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority, Occupational Health & Safety, Emergency and Fire Codes.

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory

  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Must be able to read and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors
  • Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints
  • Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Must be able to operate related equipment

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Ensure safety of staff and residents by regularly maintaining equipment and furniture and by providing general upkeep to the physical grounds and its large systems
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents and guests in order to determine individual needs, resolve issues or concerns, and evaluate resident satisfaction
  • Plan and implement a regular daily, weekly, monthly and yearly schedule of preventative maintenance activities to ensure the plant and equipment are safe and in good working order.
  • Provide minor building, electrical, plumbing and equipment repair services to ensure the optimum functioning of the physical plant and equipment
  • Receive and store all non-kitchen related deliveries

NOTE DURING COVID-19: AT THE OUTSET OF THE COVID-19 SITUATION IN CANADA, SEASONS RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES IMPLEMENTED HEIGHTENED PRECAUTIONARY PROTOCOLS IN ALL OF OUR HOMES.
