SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience with capital equipment sales and growing revenue
  • Demonstrated ability to align product offerings with customer needs
  • Highly developed commercial business acumen skills with the ability to successfully manage customer relationships, budgets, data analysis and compile reports
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategy
  • Advanced communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Experience with Caterpillar (or equivalent) equipment
  • Ability to draft Sales proposals and tenders

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to an internal promotion WesTrac have an opportunity for a skilled Major Accounts Manager to join our team with the opportunity to be based from our Tomago Head Office or Casula Branch.
As a Major Accounts Manager for one of the world’s leading Caterpillar Dealerships, you will provide exceptional customer service and support to key customers to strengthen relationships and grow sales and customer loyalty. You will leverage your knowledge of WesTrac’s customer value proposition to give advice on total cost of ownership (TCO) and WesTrac’s full service offering to ensure customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the Heavy Construction Business Manager, you will be responsible managing Tier One Accounts and collaborating with internal business units to ensure a seamless customer experience. This position had one direct report - Customer Support Manager who liaises closely with the operational teams to ensure customer requirements and orders are fulfilled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Holistic Account Management for key customers
  • Strategic business development
  • Liaise with Caterpillar and internal teams to provide equipment solutions to customers
  • Sales management
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers
  • Achieve KPI’s
  • Overall responsibility of a large infield population of Caterpillar equipment (Parts, service, new and used machine sales)
  • Provide support and guidance to the Customer Support Manager
  • Promote continuous improvement within the sales and account management function
  • Regular travel to customer sites within NSW/ACT
