Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Mammographer performs diagnostic imaging exams and procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. He/she promotes patient safety, verifies identification prior to exam, verifies patient physician(s), assists Radiologists in sterile procedures, and ensures files are archived to PACS and completed properly in CPSI. They are also responsible for maintaining facilities in proper working order.
REQUIRED MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAS)
- Education: Graduate of a two (2) year JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- License/Certifications: Current license by State of Maine. Current registration by A.R.R.T. Current registration in Mammography or registered within one (1) year of hire. Current BLS certification. Must maintain 15 mammo specific credits at all times for a three (3) year period. Valid Maine Driver’s License.
- Experience: At least one (1) years’ experience as Radiographer preferred.
