Description:

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND KEY SKILLS:

As Management Account, you will develop knowledge and experience in the following:

  • Understanding of the interaction of financial and accounting transactions within the global, multi-entity group environment
  • Initiative to work in both a team environment and individually

  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and sound judgement
  • Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Accustomed to working with accounting systems/packages.
  • IT literate including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • An organised individual able to manage time effectivelyQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Full qualified accountant, preferably ACA
  • Relevant undergraduate degree

Responsibilities:

YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Ownership of several UK based legal entities actuals monthly accounting and financial control.
  • Completion of end-of-month accounting procedures, with adherence to Group accounting policies and timelines.
  • Management of intercompany reconciliations (including intra-company recharges) and liaison with cross-entity accountants to ensure all intercompany general ledger accounts (P&L and balance sheet) match-off.
  • Supporting the team in a broad range of operational accounting activities including preparation of journals, maintaining accurate, monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the legal entities including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
  • Investigating unreconciled items to identify issues within data sets and look to resolve or escalate these issues
  • Challenging existing processes and identifying improvements and enhancements
  • Building relationships with internal stakeholders, including colleagues in other finance teams
  • Gaining an understanding of the internal control environment and identifying and escalating risk areas
  • Supporting the team during year end procedures, delivering statutory accounts and tax returns
  • Contributing to company’s statutory audit
  • Support the team in delivery of various projects including revenue recognition methodology and group restructure.
