Description:

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised Executive Assistant professional to manage the office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (the Reef Authority), and to provide high-level professional executive support. Under limited direction, you will undertake work that is complex and sensitive in nature.

Duties
1 Provide high-level executive support to the CEO including, but not limited to email coordination and management; organisation of diary/appointments; arrange and prepare for meetings, events or functions including booking of and coordination of associated travel, whilst maintaining workflow systems to ensure delivery of tasks and deadlines.
2 Manage the day-to-day operational office and administrative activities associated with the CEO’s portfolio and movements including providing high level
3 Coordinate briefings and correspondence for the CEO.
4 Prepare/draft correspondence and other documents as required, including quality control of incoming and outgoing correspondence and undertaking meeting coordination activities and documentation relating to the CEO’s requirements.
5 Be the conduit between the Board, Chairman, Minister’s Office, Department representatives and other APS agencies on matters as required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of five years public service sector administration experience in the public service or business sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in an executive support role.
  • Advanced skills in the use of the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the machinery of government/public sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a range of stakeholders in a consistently high tempo environment.

Desirable qualifications or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated experience in public sector administration.
  • Qualifications in Administration, business management or office management.
