Due to a valued team member retiring, we are looking for a Management Accountant to join the Manawatū District Council based in Feilding. You will help shape the financial services at the Council by partnering with managers across the organisation to assist with the Long Term Plan, the Annual Plan and Annual Report.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- CA or AT qualified desirable but not essential
- Several years working as an Accountant
- Produce accurate management and financial reporting
- Skilled in analysis, problem-solving and have the ability to see the big picture
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Manage time, prioritise, and work effectively with professionalism
- Highly capable, level-headed, adaptable and has a sense of fun
- Someone who will work collaboratively, roll up their sleeves and support the Finance team to achieve outcomes
- Takes ownership, builds trust and always strives for excellence
- Experience in local government is desirable but not essential
