Description:

Management Accountant Salary: Circa 40k Location: Ellesmere Port Keywords: Accounting, Costing, Management, Part-Qualified, CIMA/ACCA An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Costing/Management Accountant to join a dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential to go permanent. • Opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks including costing, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting. • Chance to collaborate with the Product Management team on new product development and customer tenders. • Flexibility of working from home up to 40% of the time after a qualifying period.

Responsibilities:

As a Costing/Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial accuracy within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a mix of costing, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting tasks. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you produce monthly plant financials and analyse key movements in inventory balances.

  • Costing new products and authorising through system workflow procedures.
  • Preparing monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts including GRNI, Stock in transit and inventory accounts.
  • Identifying, analysing and reporting on monthly manufacturing cost variances, PPV & freight.
  • Working closely with the Product Management team to assist with new product development and customer tenders.
  • Producing monthly plant financials, analysing actual performance versus forecasts.
  • Reporting using Atlas and BI Pyramid to analyse key movements in inventory balances.
  • Completing quarterly standard cost updates ensuring all new costs are accurate.
  • Assisting in the annual budgeting process including calculating revised overhead absorption rates.
  • Maintaining the Costing e-mail inbox answering any costing queries in a timely manner.
