KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Production and development of the various management and shareholder reporting packs and other key financial data, identifying opportunities to improve current methodology and processes.
  • Responsibility for month-end processes, ensuring that reconciliations of Balance Sheet control accounts and Bank accounts are carried out in compliance with The Arch Company’s policies, highlighting and correcting errors, and posting necessary transactions and journals.
  • Producing The Arch Company’s monthly management accounts, reviewing actual performance against budget and assessing the impact on the year-end forecast
  • Take ownership of key balance sheet line items including rent-free, incentives and bad debts, ensuring all accounting is completed accurately and in line with IFRS guidance where relevant.
  • Assisting in the annual budgeting process, working with the operational and commercial parts of the business to challenge and agree forecasts.
  • Communicating with all levels within the organisation and being able to present financial information to finance and non-finance members of staff.Contribute to the planning and production of The Arch Company’s year-end process and production of annual accounts, and to assist the Financial Controller and Head of Financial Accounts in liaising with the external auditors, including preparing any required analysis to support the financial data disclosed, and be able to present such analyses in a form that is easily accessible and understood by others.

Responsibilities:

You will need to be a part-qualified or qualified management accountant with strong technical skills and a minimum of two years’ prior industry experience. You will play a crucial role within our finance department as part of the management accounts and commercial finance team, involved in the production of The Arch Company’s monthly management accounts and other regular reporting, balance sheet control account reconciliations, and statutory financial reporting and the audit process. You will support the existing management accountants in the business and collaborate with the Financial Controller, Senior Management, Business Modelling, Property Teams, Treasury, and Accounts Payable & Receivable. Good communication and influencing skills are essential, along with broad knowledge of financial activities, which will require a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset.
