- Strong Excel skills
- Part Qualified Accountant strongly preferred (ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Management Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. The role will suit an individual with experience of the Finance function, who is confident dealing with a wide variety of people. The role is centred around supporting the preparation of the monthly management accounts, annual financial statements and tax compliance process. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, with a proven ability to learn quickly.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Supporting the finance team with monthly management accounts preparation; taking ownership of responsibilities and ensuring regular communication of task progress with the rest of the team
- Maintaining fixed asset registers, with a baseline knowledge of capital expenditure and depreciation calculations
- Preparing accrual and prepayment journals, demonstrating strong ability to sense check calculations
- Calculating and posting stock adjustments across various site stock takes, ensuring all information required is collated from sites in a timely manner
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, with clear and accurate supporting schedules
- Monthly expenditure postings allocated across sites, ensuring this information is obtained ahead of the month ahead process
- Petty cash reconciliations
- Lead support to the Financial Reporting Manager through the year-end statutory audit and tax compliance processes
- Providing accounts payable and cash book reconciliation support as needed, including efficient invoice processing and accurate cost allocation
- Ad hoc duties/ project tasks
- Assistance with company admin tasks
