Description:
This position is located in the Department of Public Works (DPW), Office of Waste Diversion. The primary responsibility for assignments includes detailed analytical and statistical reviews of program(s) and special projects and carrying out a wide range of assignments related to initiatives. The incumbent works closely with management and project teams to carry out highly complex management studies dealing with work measurement, methods, and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Specialized Experience: Experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, one (1) year of Specialized Experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.
Responsibilities:
Works closely with management and project teams to identify root or systemic causes and problems and propose solutions to improve efficiency. Analyzes and reviews documentation procedures and controls. Plans, organizes, analyzes, evaluates, and provides technical oversight to data analysis and business process review projects through application of project management principles, practices, and techniques.
Develops, plans, and schedules, estimates resource requirements, defines milestones and deliverables, monitors activities, and evaluates and reports on accomplishments. Identifies alternative solutions to problems in assigned projects.
Conducts analysis of the most complex business problems. Works with management to apply findings and recommendations to develop agency strategies and corresponding business objectives.
