THE PROJECT

We are currently looking for an individual to join our Management Trainee programme as an Commercial Management Trainee, based in Rushden. This programme offers a structured, fast-track route to a career in Quantity surveying and gives you the knowledge, qualifications and a chance to join one of the most forward-thinking property solutions provider in the UK. As a Management trainee on commercial within our repairs, maintenance and voids workstreams , your career is all about working with Fortem colleagues and supply chain where you will analyse data trends, reduce costs and find value whilst supporting the delivery of repairs in our customers’ homes. This will ensure the work is completed safely, on time, to quality and on budget. On our programme we will provide you with a great foundation for a successful and rewarding career in Commercial management as your specialism but working alongside other experienced business managers to develop your understanding of the wider business as a whole, not just your chosen discipline. On successful completion of the training programme, you will be promoted into an assistant level role within your chosen discipline and supported to develop further to meet your career ambitions. We need talented people who are looking to maximise their potential and become the future leaders of our business in years to come. Potential is about more than just qualifications, our scheme is available to all candidates who are ambitious and driven, who we can equip with the skills and experience to grow with Fortem. Applicants for scheme can be either: School/college leavers/skilled trades Are you studying for A levels, a BTEC, T levels, an HNC or already have experience in a trade and don’t want to go to university full time? Then a 4 years’ management trainee programme could be for you as you will be supported to study a relevant higher level apprenticeship qualification whilst gaining relevant work experience. Graduates Are you a graduate with a degree in a construction, operations or commercial related subject? We can offer you a 2-year management trainee programme. If you have a non-construction related degree, we still want you to apply and we can offer you a 3 year management trainee programme. Whatever your entry point into the management trainee programme, you will follow a structured programme that will expose you to all areas of your chosen discipline to develop your understanding of the business as a whole. We aim to equip ambitious, driven, and talented individuals with the skills and aptitude required to achieve their ambitions. You will be given a Director mentor who will monitor your progress and help you to achieve professional and/or other appropriate qualifications. For those individuals who have not undertaken Further Education, Fortem will support and fund your degree.
