We are looking for a management trainee to help us develop and implement our growth strategies. This position is best suited for candidates who want to gain valuable experience towards a managerial role with advancement potential.
To be successful as a Management Trainee, you should have superb attention to detail and be able to promptly identify problems. Outstanding candidates will have great leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
The Journey:
During your 18 months traineeship, you’ll learn how to identify and apply important strategies and business processes. You’ll get to learn about our company’s functions and operations, and you’ll support our management team with daily tasks. Throughout, you will develop strong problem-solving, communication and people management skills. Additionally, you will participate in formal training courses.
This trainee program is designed to fast-track the development of high-potential young individuals and prepare them for future leadership positions within the Sika organization. Development components shall include: rotational assignments including cross country projects/training/seminars; mentorship to help navigate daily challenges; formal training sessions/ workshops/seminars to develop essential skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management; Job rotation & project deployment to gain hands-on experience and apply the skills and knowledge in a practical setting; networking to expand professional connections; and opportunity to work and be coached by Sika Senior Managers.

Job Description

YOU WILL GAIN EXPOSURE AND EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Participating in meetings, workshops, trainings, and be embedded in our global sustainability community.
  • Observing and learning from experienced staff members and participate in coaching session.
  • Support implementation of global sustainability initiatives on regional or local level in Asia Pacific.
  • Participate in company’s strategic planning.
  • Create and give presentations to get the buy-in from local, regional, or corporate management to implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Connect with different offices and disciplines to understand their daily processes and goals and travel and meet them as required.
  • Preparing documents and reports, drawing conclusions and propose measures and initiatives to improve Sika’s sustainability footprint.
  • Support Marketing communication about sustainability and customer documentations (e.g. EPD)
  • Participate in product performance and sustainability assessments (e.g. LCA)
  • Cooperate with suppliers and procurement to get supplier specific data and reduce our scope 3 emissions of our purchased raw materials.
  • Calculate and analyze sustainability data and compare footprint of raw materials, products and solutions for customers.
  • Help managers complete daily tasks (e.g. implementing new policies).
  • Help to improve the sustainability data quality and improve our database.
  • Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes.
