Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team, based in Argentina. As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with leading our accounting team responsible for operations in Latin America, including revenue accounting, revenue recognition, financial analysis, and standard accounting functions.
You will need to possess a thorough understanding of accounting principles tailored to each country in which we operate in Latin America. This includes a nuanced grasp of the unique financial regulations and practices in each region.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-10 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Experience with financial systems (SAP preferred)
  • Outstanding analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well independently and with others
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with associates working remotely
  • Proficient in Excel and other business applications
  • Knowledge of SOX principles and experience working in a public company environment preferred
  • Excellent management experience coaching and mentoring staff
  • Ability to handle multiple requests by prioritizing and organizing work amongst the team and/or setting and agreeing to appropriate deadlines. Excellent time management
  • Ability and desire to work with remote teams and leverage strength across multiple offices

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all accounting activities for Latin America, including revenue accounting, revenue recognition, financial analysis, and standard accounting functions.
  • Review journal entries and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with auditors to support audit processes and ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Foster strong relationships and collaboration with other departments within the region to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the business and its accounting processes specific to Latin America to effectively handle assigned projects and provide strategic insights.
  • Lead continual process improvement initiatives to optimize financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Effectively manage resources, including personnel and budget allocations, to ensure efficient execution of accounting activities.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to Latin America, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
