Manager, Application Development

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Managing technology, architecture, project and functional management efforts during the software development lifecycle
• Collaboration with internal teams and related functional areas such as implementation, and project management to ensure products meet high quality standards.
• Participation in setting of and tracking against strategic goals and departmental activities
• Providing technical and product direction to achieve performance, functionality, and usability
• Working manager is responsible for the following
• Support and maintenance of coding standards
• Creates prototype reporting models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
• Researches, reviews, and analyzed the effectiveness and efficiency of existing coding procedures and develops strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
• Communicates interface or applications changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
• Develops applications, routines and procedures for end-users to facilitate best practices use of custom C#.net development, reporting tools and applications.
• Maintains all documentation related to reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Care Administration, Business or relate technical discipline
• 5+ years of relevant software and engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience working with data in a healthcare related field - Clinical and Billing a plus
• Proven ability to deliver robust, user-centric enterprise application development and distributed systems
• Relentlessly high standards for technical architecture and code quality
• Focus on client and user experience
• Drives continuous innovation and improvement, keeps up to date on technological change.
• Experience with Agile Development Process
