The Markets Risk team sits within Risk Institutional and strives to be the best-performing and inclusive Markets business, adhering to a culture of responsible risk taking and robust, dynamic risk management delivering value to all stakeholders.
Risk is a critical function, with highly valued and innovative teams that enable ANZ to deliver its purpose.
The Manager, Balance Sheet Risk is critical to making this happen and will be assisting Non-Traded Market Risk team (Melbourne) with focus on Liquidity and Funding risk (APS210) and Non-Traded Foreign Exchange risk. You will also work with Group Treasury and the broader global Market Risk teams in oversight of Group Treasury and related Markets Balance Sheet Trading activities. In this role, you will collaborate with business areas and other stakeholders resulting from any regulatory and product changes.
This role would suit a collaborative individual who would like to join a team of knowledgeable, project-focused individuals who have a broad spectrum of skillsets and rich knowledge of ANZ.
What a typical day might look like…
Work on tasks that focuses on liquidity and funding risk
Ensures that desks managing liquidity and funding are within limits
Review products to ensure that they are in line with regulations
Have daily interactions with people from Treasury, Funding Desk, Finance, and Risk
What will likely be in your toolkit?
Strong understanding of Liquidity and Funding Risk
Good understanding of Market Risk management in both Banking book and Trading book
Ability to understand APRA prudential standards for APS210
Strong ability and experience in working with Market Risk, Audit, Tech, IA stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and proven problem solving capability
Having a curious mindset and proactively understanding industry and business specific nuances
Strong focus on continuous improvements and change management
Strong ability to Deliver What Matters.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment.
Proven relationship building skills and ability to influence outcomes
