What you’ll be doing
You will focus on the strategic development and delivery of Brand related initiatives, including support for enterprise wide brand building campaign and activations, and leading projects that deposit into driving consideration for CIBC. As the Manager, Brand Marketing, you will work closely with consumer insights, media planning, cross functional teams, business partners and agencies to drive the planning, development, and execution of marketing initiatives in order to support key strategic pillars of the CIBC brand.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Strategic & Creative Development – Lead the strategic planning as well as design and implementation, including the creative development, of brand marketing initiatives. Collaborating with your team, agencies, business partners and channel partners, you’ll build successful marketing campaigns that generate desired business results and impact. You will also be responsible for tracking results and conducting post-campaign learnings with key partners (agencies, business and channel partners) as well as managing overall budgets.
  • Project Management – Plan and implement marketing communication initiatives for the CIBC brand, acting as a key point of contact for the assigned initiatives. You will manage the creative process in a large, multi-level matrix organization with several layers for approvals. You have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and maintain balance between the tactical focus on implementation and the strategic focus for new marketing opportunities.
  • Relationship Management – Know and understand the business. Build and develop effective relationships with key business contacts, channel partners, external partners and agencies to become true partner and expert advisor to the business.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in an agency or a client environment with proven experience in managing creative and marketing communications processes for integrated campaigns.
  • You put our clients first. You engage with purpose to find the right solutions. You go the extra mile, because it’s the right thing to do.
  • You embrace and champion change. You’ll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
  • You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don’t. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
  • Your influence makes an impact. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by making yourself heard.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work and you live our values – trust, teamwork and accountability.
