Manager, Brand Product Manager
Capital One’s Brand organization is seeking a seasoned Product Manager/Owner with experience building products. In this role, you will join a talented and functionally diverse team to develop and manage products for brand management capabilities using leading-edge technologies, human-centered design and agile methodologies. You will need to apply creative problem solving skills to solve complex business challenges.
You will have a pioneering opportunity to change how associates create advertising and marketing assets so they more effectively build and strengthen the Capital One brand. You would be responsible to build new and enhance existing products that achieve this ambitious goal.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 3 years of product management experience or at least 3 years of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
  • At least 2 years of people management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s degree
  • 7+ years of product management, product operations or technology-related management
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile product management
  • 2+ years of marketing technology experience

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify requirements, prioritize high impact platform capabilities, and then translate those needs into iterative features that can be actioned by the engineering team
  • Define story acceptance criteria, manage and prioritize the product backlogs, and own near-term roadmaps
  • Learn from users and lead work with designers, engineers, and partners to build experiences that advance the value of the products and empower associates to do their best work
  • Evaluate and explore new technical approaches to solve customer needs
  • Apply cutting edge technology like automation, machine learning, AI and predictive analytics
  • Drive day-to-day prioritization of work operations, projects and scope
  • Partner on design thinking to inform product design
  • Execute testing of new design and functionality
  • Lead integration solutions to complex challenges
  • Manage the learning agenda to track success and opportunities to improve the products
  • Identify issues in a timely manner and appropriately mitigate/escalate
