Manager Budgeting & Forecasting

Our reputable client within the public sector is seeking a designated Financial Planning & Analysis Manager for a period of 6 months This is an excellent opportunity for you to work for a company that will values your impressive financial analysis skills and long-term planning insights. This is a hybrid role, with expectations of working in our client’s beautiful office in Burnaby, BC, 1-4 days per week.
Understand the complexities of the current process, the stakeholders and branches (business units) contributing to the budget and forecasts and suggest improvement opportunities to be implemented
Work with and increase engagement with key stakeholders to implement a robust budgeting and quarterly forecast system and process
Develop relationships with business areas throughout the organization and external stakeholders to gather and share information
Prepare monthly and multi-year forecasts and conduct monthly variance analyses against budget and forecast, and work with stakeholders to obtain explanations
Provide guidance and direction to Analysts
CPA designation (or equivalent)
7+ years of experience in a similar role
Extensive experience in forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
Experienced in stakeholder engagement and communicating financial information across all levels of an organization
Experience working in large, complex and fast paced public sector organization
Experience with process improvement or continuous improvement
