The Manager – Customer Due Diligence and Client Tax reporting will sit within the Fraud Credit Control Services team and will support the Head of Client Risk Management in the effective management of the CDD and CTR activities for WPB UAE.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree is mandatory for UAE Visa and Work Permit
  • Proven experience in financial services – AML/KYC roles
  • High level understanding of all types of financial crime and CDD activities
  • Knowledge of Retail banking and financial services products
  • Understanding of the commercial considerations of business relationships combined with the ability to manage risk effectively and thoroughly in those client relationships
  • Knowledge of the country regulatory environment.
  • Working across all levels of the organization to understand cross-functional linkages and interdependencies, as well as the implications of risk at both a strategic level and at the business unit level.
  • Experience of creating and leading a team as well as reorganization, change management and managing multiple projects.
  • Has developed a satisfactory level of professional competence which helps to determine risk based solutions

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Ensure delivery to CDD requirements according to agreed priorities for WPB UAE.
  • Derive the decisions relating to WPB/GPB CDD solutions/systems and processes and escalation of issues, risks and dependencies.
  • Oversee and contribute to the CDD/CTR programme within the business, working with the relevant country and regional/global stakeholders.
  • Ensure all escalations are handled in a timely manner.
  • Review CRS and FATCA procedures periodically to ensure all the information is captured and is current.
  • Ensure timely and accurate Tax reporting
  • Support any system enhancements driven by Regional or Global team ensure to meet the requirement at market level.
  • Support the delivery of CDD Core Releases, perform health-checks. Update procedure, CDD procedures, obtain approvals as required, escalate/cascade any incidents/defects /requirements and workarounds for UAE as appropriate.
  • Oversee and drive the timely completion of CDD reviews for UAE, identifying streamlining opportunities, escalating blockages, analyzing the book of work volumes and FTE requirements, and working with Regional, Global and GSC sites to improve performance where possible.
  • Provide concise and timely reporting and updates for various governance forums and committees on the status of CDD related to projects, key milestones, streamlining initiatives, blockages, challenges, risks and issues
