NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO | SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in an area relevant to health promotion, education, disease prevention, Māori or Pacific Health, community development, and/or public health or comparable/extensive experience working at a senior leadership level
- Significant experience in a senior level position with a wide span of control and leading leaders, including solid experience in coaching, mentoring, and managing teams
- Able to think, plan and act strategically and to connect with and inspire people to build a highly motivated and engaged workforce
- Demonstrated understanding of organisational risk and compliance, legal and regulatory requirements regarding relevant regulations and standards in New Zealand
- 5 years’ experience in varied environments with responsibilities for achieving equitable health outcomes and responsive to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Extensive business and people management experience for managing a significant division of the organisation
- Demonstrated mature communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write and present in a clear, persuasive, and impactful way, to influence others to embrace change, and to develop, unify and maintain strong internal and external relationships essential for achieving sustainable outcomes
