SALARY: £57,546 to £63,940
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds or Halifax
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week presently, or 40% of our time, at one of the team hubs mentioned above
About this opportunity
Our role in helping colleagues, customers and communities remains as important today as it has always been, shaping finance as a force for good as we help Britain Prosper. Through our Community Engagement programme, we work with a range of specialist charity partners, leveraging our skill and scale to help create a more inclusive and sustainable society.
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join the Community Engagement team, part of Group Corporate Affairs, on secondment for 12 months, to help shape and deliver our communications narrative and strategy across partnerships including Crisis, the Woodland Trust, our charitable Foundations, and colleague volunteering.

As Manager in Community Engagement, you’ll:

  • Provide critical communications support to the Head of Community Engagement and wider team, helping to provide oversight and deliver the agreed communications strategy.
  • Play a role in developing a campaign focus for our programme themes as well as our measurement strategy.
  • Own and provide oversight of the Community Engagement narrative and key facts, making sure that they’re accurate, regularly updated and shared with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Provide oversight of the shared Community Engagement communications and engagement plans
  • Continual monitoring of our channels, sites and resources across Community Engagement to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Provide counsel and practical support to team members in shaping their communications activities.
  • Lead the relationship with GCA business partnering and other GCA stakeholders to develop our plans, scorecard and deepen relationships with the business units.
  • Lead and oversee our relationships and work plans with communication suppliers such as Limehouse and Proteus.
  • Responsible for a Community Engagement communications dashboard, setting benchmarks and tracking our progress.

Why Lloyds Banking Group

What you’ll need:

This is a phenomenal opportunity for a self-motivated and driven individual with plenty of communications experience. It is essential that you have:

  • Experience of setting and delivering communications strategies for either large charities or corporates. You’ll be a specialist in internal comms, media, social media or events, and ideally be a communications strategist or business partner.
  • Experience of working across most comms mediums (social, internal, pr, public affairs)
  • Proven experience of the Third Sector – you might be working for a larger charity in communications or corporate partnership management.
  • Partnership/engagement experience – you’ll know how to facilitate work between partners. Ideally you’ll have been a great partner in similar relationships to those you’ll see in this role, ie between a corporate organisation and charity partners.

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • A background in culture/colleague engagement.
