Description:

Applications are invited for the position of Manager, Cultural and Global Engagement Partnerships in the Office of Cultural & Global Engagement in the International Division, located at the Welland Campus. The salary range is $76,029 to $95,038 for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Cultural & Global Engagement (C&GE), the Manager, Cultural & Global Engagement Partnerships will play a key role in supporting the continuous development of the Be World Ready (BWR) program. This program creates pathways to the world for students and staff through immersive experiences. We foster cultural diversity and forge impactful partnerships that ensure student and staff readiness for a dynamically interconnected world.
The incumbent will be responsible to support the strategic direction of offering interactive experiences that transcend traditional education. This role will aid the Office of Cultural and Global engagement to lead, secure, develop and maintain institutional and international partnerships that offer opportunities of cultural and engagement for all learners and staff across Niagara College.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) year Diploma or Degree in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Education, Public Administration, International or Global Development, or similar field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in proposal development, project management, financial management or public and/or government relations.
  • Experience working with diverse clients in a multi-cultural setting gained from working in an international environment or working/living abroad.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes including budget development, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports, proposals, and communications.
  • Strong ability to analyze potential partnerships and assess program viability.
  • Experience with MS Office applications and database management systems such as Salesforce and financial management systems.
  • Bilingualism considered an asset.
    We also provide a balance of on-campus and remote work through our recently introduced Remote Work Policy. As a place-based organization all positions will involve the majority of work at our Welland campus offering 1-2 remote days per week as assessed by our cyclical business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with external vendors and partners, funders, and educational institutes to outline parameters of contracts including reporting obligations and contract compliance.
  • Design partnership programming including operational processes using information, data, and financial management systems to support the development of global student mobility programs.
  • Create and catalogue resource and knowledge management systems using a variety of tools and systems, that will aim to support the request of information related to partnership or project statuses, metrics, or reporting as needed.
  • Manage the engagement of internal interest in staff engagement in BWR experiences including marketing, finalizing terms of reference/scope of work, temporary contracts, assisting in the selection of candidates and monitoring performance.
  • Work alongside key stakeholders to establish processes and systems of assessment for opportunities for new and existing experiences related to all BWR areas of focus.
  • Write proposals (including proposed budgets), concept papers, and expressions of interest to various international agencies, government offices, and educational institutes to aid in additional funding for all activities.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to assess and implement risk management strategies, update, and develop standard operating procedures, frameworks, and responses to all BWR areas of focus, particularly outbound mobility opportunities.
  • When needed, provide hands-on assistance to fill logistical gaps to ensure seamless program delivery, especially during peak periods and lead up to events.
