WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leader for our Cyber Defence Strategy and Operations team.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing cyber defence strategic technology plans and roadmaps, managing cyber defence operational capabilities, and developing solutions to emerging cyber defence challenges for the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a close knit team as well foster a high performing, collaborative and inclusive team culture
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with the IS Technology Managers, and other key managers such as our Risk & Compliance Manager across the IS group and GHD overall
  • Engage regularly with IS managers to ensure that your projects, initiatives, and services are meeting the expressed and implied requirements of the enterprise and to be across future requirements for services and products
  • Foster an open and collaborative approach with all stakeholders
  • Partner with business and technology subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technology solutions
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the global technology team through collaboration and support of peers and their initiatives
  • Develop strong understanding of the GHD Enterprise and build relationships as required
  • Participate in the regular review and performance monitoring of the security technologies and solutions to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the business and contribute to the effective management of our cyber defences
  • Support the research, evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of those standards as they relate to cyber defence technology
  • Lead technical and process reviews of security operations and critical incidents to support continuous improvement
  • Develop security baselines for core functions
  • Ensure the CTO and other key stakeholders are well briefed and up to date on key projects, issues and initiatives
