SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior management role, particularly in data governance.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks (DAMA/DCAM) and methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure, Databricks, and cloud-based data governance tools (e.g., Informatica, Alation, Collibra).
  • Strong ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, and reporting directives.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will establish and implement a comprehensive data governance framework to ensure data quality, integrity, and security across EPA. You will lead a dedicated team, manage data governance forums, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, aligning data governance services with EPA’s strategic priorities.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Develop and implement a robust data governance framework and data ownership model.
  • Establish and administer divisional and executive data governance forums.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce data governance policies and address data quality issues.
  • Lead and manage the Governance team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and ethical standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance data literacy across EPA.
