We are currently seeking a Manager* Data Protection to support our Corporate Data Protection Team on a 12-months fixed-term contract.

Our main focus at Software AG is to provide our customers with products that ensure both their economic success and legal compliance. As Manager* Data Protection you are the key point of contact for all matters related to data protection at Software AG and support all our stakeholders, in particular our customers, employees and management. You closely work with and support our Corporate Data Protection Officer in monitoring adherence to and further developing our measures and processes to ensure data protection compliance at Software AG. You will be involved in exciting projects, such as the integration of AI into our products, where you will work towards compliance with data protection requirements. Development and implementation of policies, trainings or work instructions related to data protection will also be part of your role.
Please note that the position is initially limited to 12 months.

Essential Functions

  • Advising and alignment with all departments regarding the implementation of data protection requirements
  • Comprehensive review and negotiation of data protection related contracts
  • Support in the further development and implementation of the data protection management system in close coordination with the Corporate Data Protection Officer
  • Checking customer requests for compliance of Software AG products and services with data protection requirements
  • Support data protection audits in consultation with the Corporate Data Protection Officer
  • Documentation of processing activities and data protection related incidents
  • Processing of data subjects’ requests

Minimum Requirements

  • Successfully completed university studies in the fields of law / business law or comparable qualification
  • At least two years professional experience in data protection / data privacy management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data protection law, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation and data protection management processes
  • Very good written and spoken English skills (German appreciated)
  • Structured way of working
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills
  • Team player

Nice to Haves

  • Basic knowledge of information security - ideally knowledge of ISMS according to ISO/IEC 27001 (optional ISMS according to BSI IT-Grundschutz), CSA and SOC 2
  • Good written and spoken German skills
