Description:

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Your task as Manager Reporting & Analytics is to create, develop and maintain all management and operational reporting across BUs and channels (WHS, AKAs, DTC) within the Europe Demand Planning Department (“DP”) to support and enable fact-based and consumer-centric decisions. In addition, you are responsible for driving or supporting major projects impacted DP functions and to identify further improvement opportunities across all channels and DP functions. You are constantly observing the market and look for new ideas, tools, etc. to shape the future of Demand Planning.
Key Responsibilities:

Functional

  • Responsible for developing and providing management and operational reports/dashboards across BUs and channels within Europe Demand Planning Department
  • Create and maintain analysis and reporting tools that support easy and fast visualization of data using Power BI
  • Key areas of focus include: current demand plan, inventory, buying volumes, stock on hand (ATP), financial forecast (IBP) and sell-in/out situation as well as identifying areas of risks and opportunities.
  • Operationalize and automate activities for efficient and timely production of data visuals (Alteryx, SQL, databricks, Excel, PowerBI) and enable better and faster decision making
  • Continuously search for tool enhancements to enable better and more efficient analysis/reporting and planning.
  • Continuously match business insight needs with analytical solutions and use tools to track, report, and analyze marketing, sales & demand planning information.
  • Ensure meaningful reporting and insights to support the Merchandising, Demand Planning & Supply teams in the range creation, forecasting and supply process
  • Connect and interact with other Analytics teams within adidas to stay connect and share best practice learnings

Project based

  • Responsible for driving or supporting major projects impacted DP functions
  • Work closely with IT to enhance reporting capabilities (Data Analyst journey focused on Databricks/Lakehouse, Business Intelligence journey focused on PowerBI dashboards)
  • Advanced Analytics initiatives: support/drive the Advanced Analytics strategy from the Europe point of view
  • Manage the transition from legacy system to new system in terms of reporting and analytics functions (eg. from MicroStrategy to PowerBI, from SAP APO to SAP S4 FPS/TR4M, etc …)
  • Support DP Reporting & Analytics lead to develop further opportunities to improve reporting & analytics capabilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Creative, solutionist and energetic team player who has a passion for delivering analytics, data, insights to drive outcomes for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction
  • Deep experience in Business and Data. Curious and willing to learn new things and develop new skills in terms of business and data analytics knowledges
  • Excellent analytical/numerical skills and ability to see the “big picture” while still playing attention to the details as error in analysis will have crucial impact to business
  • Data visualization and reporting skills and experience in storytelling with data (e.g., Power BI)
  • Data base Handling Experience (Alteryx, Databricks, SQL, Power BI, etc.)
  • Ability to understand business needs and support business partners with IT/Data analytics solutions
  • Ability to translate complex analytical ideas into digestible, actionable takeaways for your business partners
  • Experience with process design and process improvements, automation, etc.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo using analysis from data and proposing corrective actions, providing scenarios and options
  • Ability to work in a challenging, moving and multi-tasking environment
  • Project management skills, including the ability to lead projects or work on several projects simultaneously
  • Very good interpersonal skills to smoothly interact at any level of the company

Considered as a plus:

  • Experience in forecasting and predictive models (algorithm, R, Python, …)
  • Experience with statistics, traffic analytics tools (google searches, tik tok trend, …)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration with focus on Mathematics, Statistics or Finance preferred, Masters degree considered an advantage
  • At least 3 years’ experience in data/analytics/reporting and in business
  • Proven understanding of data blending and data visualization (i.e Alteryx, SQL, databricks, PowerBI)
  • English fluency required (written and verbal)
  • Computer science skills (R, Python, Predictive analytics) is an advantage
