JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
Experience
- 8+ years’ experience in healthcare software development
- Experience in healthcare interoperability, specifically FHIR.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile.
- Experience with .NET technologies, C#, and SQL.
- Experience with web application development.
- 2-3 years’ experience leading software development teams preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience managing and resolving customer issues.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a passionate Software Development Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining our Sunrise healthcare interoperability solutions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet the needs of healthcare clients and contribute to the success of our organization. Sunrise™ | Altera Digital Health (alterahealth.com)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the development lifecycle of healthcare interoperability solutions, including resource allocation, project planning, and execution.
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, quality engineers and testers.
- Implement and champion the use of agile development methodologies to guide development processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define product requirements, prioritize features, and track progress.
- Monitor key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
- Recruit and onboard new team members, set performance goals, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Manage escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.
