The Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for developing strategies, measuring performance and reporting insights of digital marketing activities. The focus is to deliver the highest performance across key channels including corporate brand, divisional product marketing and Retailer.com/Carrier.com channels while working with key stakeholders in Samsung Electronics Canada (SECA) and external partners. This role will drive the media innovation roadmap to deliver value across all LOBs by working directly with platform partners to unlock additional value through Samsung global digital deals and local executions. They will own and lead the media planning process across all Samsung paid media campaigns to maximize efficiency of media performance and investments. The incumbent will seek to do this across various Samsung lines of business including Mobile Experiences (MX) and Consumer Electronics (CE) and will be responsible for supporting marketing managers to develop digital marketing plans with their respective channel activities.
The incumbent will support thought leadership in the digital media space supporting the education of various internal teams and continuously look for new ways to drive online business growth through new tools/strategies.
Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build digital marketing strategy and plan development for Samsung owned sales channels and retail channels. Campaigns include;
  • Corporate Brand (Connectivity, New Canadians, Sustainability)
  • Product Marketing (Mobile Experience, Home Entertainment & Digital Appliances)
  • Retailer.com (such as Amazon Media and other platforms)
  • Always-On Brand Paid Search
  • Create digital marketing plans using channels such as Programmatic Display, Online Video (YouTube), Paid Search (Google) and Paid Social upper funnel campaign objectives working closely with media agency.
  • Proactively assess current online media state, identify areas of improvements, and lead the improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business leads locally and at HQ/NAHQ.
  • Manage the digital and marketing intake process across divisions (MX/CE) to ensure business requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with media partners (Samsung Global Digital Deals) to unlock new media opportunities and participating in betas.
  • Manage the reporting and optimization across product IMCs and always-on campaigns.
  • Track performance and perform real-time and post-program evaluation to prove ROI of campaigns for brand marketing activities to help grow support for digital activities.
  • Establish and maintain industry benchmark and KPIs.
  • Stay on top of new technologies and developments in the paid media and digital space and identify technology opportunities and recommendations to improve customer experience and increase the effectiveness and efficacy of initiatives.
  • Work with Analytics stakeholders to ensure optimal site tagging and measurement is in place.
  • Develop & execute annual digital marketing plans.
  • Create proposals to internal business and finance stakeholders to secure funding for projects.
  • Work with partners (Google, Meta, etc.) to establish best practices that drive ROI.
  • Provide regular monthly reporting updates & ad hoc reports when required.
  • Work with internal teams to align on holistic marketing plans that drive program KPIs.
  • Monitor performance of activities and work with agencies to ensure activities are optimized.
  • Recommend creative marketing tactics to support improved media efficiency.
  • Working with agency partners and internal teams to analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns and provide timely feedback to implement updates/changes as needed.
  • Work closely with the business including Account Managers, Product Management team, Retail Management, Marketing Communications, and Process Innovation on projects as required.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to both internal stakeholders and HQ.

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Five to Seven (5-7) years’ experience in digital marketing management, or related roles.
  • Experience in managing mass digital marketing.
  • Experience in managing brand, product and/or marketing KPIs.

Knowledge:

  • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in the organization: from senior executives to support staff within and outside of the company.
  • Proficiency in Digital Analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Previous experience managing a small team.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills. Develop clear storylines leveraging data.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, and ability to meet all deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and Sense of urgency.
  • Previous experience in working with Omniture, Adobe, Google Analytics and data visualization tools (Tableau) is an asset.
  • Proficient in working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, demonstrating resilience and a proactive attitude.
