Job Title: Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Reports to: Director, Talent & Organizational Effectiveness

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Drive the development and implementation of the LifeLabs DEI strategy and plans; identify, develop and implement sustainable and scalable programs, solutions and initiatives in collaboration with others; program manages the plan and programs.
  • Within the LifeLabs governance model, acts as a Subject Matter Expert partnering with and supporting the functioning of DEI teams including the Steering Council, Employee Resources Groups, task groups and other teams as required; manage/lead the team meetings, plans and support the teams to operate effectively. Provides input and guidance into core learning and development DEI initiatives.
  • Build and develop key metrics and measurements to assess the effectiveness of the DEI strategy, platforms and programs including the use of surveys and other feedback loops; in year one, oversees the DEI census survey and supports the development and execution of identified goals and actions.
  • Works closely with HR teams and individuals and the internal communications team and others to identify key opportunities and plans to advance DEI efforts including a targeted communication plan and ensuring DEI best practices are reflected in people practices and programs.
  • Manage the relationship with key external partners (ie. CCDI) to drive best practice application and delivery of our program; conducts ongoing internal and external research and analyzes data and information to assess, identify and present trends, opportunities and solutions; stays current with best practices and leading benchmark companies.

MINIMUM HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Community College Diploma (Three years) in Business or equivalent; DEI certification (in addition to or as part of the Diploma) courses, certificates, workshops or other comparable training.
  • Eight years working in organizations with at least five in a manager or key influencer role. At least three years experience developing and implementing strategies and plans.
  • PMO Certification would be an asset
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
    This is a remote role.
    Hiring Range: 92,600 - 118,000
    The hiring range has been established, however, the final salary recommendation will be determined based off the level of experience, education requirement, external market conditions and internal equity.
    In this position, you will be eligible for Lifelabs annual bonus.

Responsibilities:

The Manager, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will provide dedicated leadership, management and support to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies and plans for LifeLabs. Specifically, they will facilitate the development and execution of the F21 plan within the context of the five year DEI strategy. Acts as a DEI SME consultant/advisor and program manager.
