The Waste Management & Cleansing Business Unit provides a range of services relating to cleansing, waste and resource recovery, including collection services as well as being the key point of contact for the management of Kimbriki. It provides accurate and timely advice and uses better practice methods and procedures while developing new and innovative solutions. The Waste Management & Cleansing Business Unit delivers the following services:
- Cleansing Services
- Waste Management and Resource Recovery
- Waste management and reduction education
- Litterbin Services

The key focus areas of this role include:
- providing direction and leadership in managing staff and other resources to ensure high performance delivery and high customer satisfaction with Council’s domestic and internal waste service,
- co-ordinating and leading best practice contract management and negotiation for Council’s waste collection, processing and disposal contracts
- ensure the team provides a cohesive, risk appropriate and efficient approach to ensure waste collection at the property level is safe, accessible and maximises circular economy opportunitie
