Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Enterprise Application Development to join our dynamic team. The Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of all application development activities across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Development Oversight: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the development of applications across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.
  • Strategic Planning: Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities to advance the firm’s IT objectives through the development of future and existing applications.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Create and manage budgets, schedules, and resources for application development projects, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Partner with the enterprise architecture team to define, implement, and operate the application portfolio and lifecycle management function.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of development managers offshore responsible for executing the development of core applications, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Low Code Platform Enablement: Enable the use of low code platforms for citizen developers to develop light applications while ensuring data protection and security.
  • Business Partner Collaboration: Work closely with business partners to evaluate business needs and recommend solutions to enhance and accelerate business functions and processes across the firm.
  • Planning and Design: Lead the planning, design, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of IT application software and custom environments.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of applications and custom environments, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and manage risks associated with application development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10 years of related experience with at least 4 of those years in a project management capacity.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
    Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, PMP) are a plus.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and best practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale application development projects.
  • Experience with low code platforms and citizen development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
