Description:

Overview:
As the Manager, Enterprise Systems you oversee the evolution and operations of the corporate application portfolio through the delivery of enhancements and corporate initiatives, coordination of day-to-day support, and resolution of incidents and defects. The Enterprise Systems team supports all corporate applications.
The Manager, Enterprise Systems oversees the operational support, optimization, compliance, security, and strategic leadership of the organization’s enterprise systems. The Manager leads a team responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, enhancement, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications, with a focus on maximizing efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for hiring, performance management and development planning of staff, including identifying training and development needs. Ensures technical expertise of the unit is maintained.
  • Supervises, coaches, and conducts performance management evaluation for direct reports.
  • Fosters a high-performance culture that is consistent with corporate vision, values and leading practices.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Solutions Management to ensure policies and procedures are implemented and support the corporate, divisional and departmental objectives.
  • Plan for ongoing maintenance and version upgrading of applications to ensure the corporation can maintain vendor supported service levels.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the application software development management practice (Software Development Life Cycle) as well as digital capabilities within MPI.
  • Monitor production systems to ensure continuous availability of services. Adjust staff support and assignment priority as required.
  • Participate in strategic planning activities within the division and contributes to the development of departmental strategic, operational, and tactical plans.
  • Contribute to and reviews corporate work plans and release schedules to ensure resources are appropriately allocated to help minimize the impact to the business resulting from any changes.
  • Plan and budget for services. Works as a liaison with vendors and the Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management department to establish mutually acceptable contracts and service-level agreements for applications and departmental Operational Level Agreement (OLA).

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Digital Transformation, Business or applied Science with a demonstrated record of continuing education in the Information Technology field.
  • Eight years of experience in a software development environment leading the support, maintenance and implementation of large-scale production systems.
  • Five years of experience in managing enterprise systems, including hands-on experience in system implementation, configuration, and support.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with SharePoint for collaboration and document management or similar solution.
  • Experience working with SaaS (Software as a Service) products, preferably in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience working /implementing DevSecOps or XOps.
  • Strong project management skills to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced knowledge of the CX/UX/UI best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies.
