Description:

The Manager, External Communications is a new role within our growing Communications and Brand team. Reporting to the Senior Director for External Communications, you will partner closely with our digital and social team, marketing and sales teams to deliver on a new client stories program, our Ideas to Innovations podcast and support corporate communications.
You will play a pivotal role in finding and telling stories that enhance our brand reputation across a range of channels including video, social media and podcasts. A solid understanding of external communications is essential for this role, and you will have previous experience of writing for business and social media. You will be used to working across teams to deliver on projects, and on leading a project from inception through to delivery and measurement. You are creative, proactive and thrive in fast-paced environments. You will be forward-thinking and passionate about the latest technologies that can help us tell our story.

ABOUT YOU – EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • 5-7 years external communications experience
  • A proven track record of delivering on communications strategies, with methods to measure impact and effectiveness
  • Adept at using multiple channels, from video to social media, blogs and podcasts to tell a story
  • The experience and confidence to work with colleagues across a global company, and to work directly with our clients and external agencies
  • A flexible and responsive approach, demonstrating resilience in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish, and competing deadlines
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills and the ability to inspire
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in journalism, marketing or English
  • Fluency in English

Responsibilities:

Creating and curating stories and content

  • Working across teams to identify stories that enhance the Clarivate reputation and create a pipeline
  • Developing those stories working with external communications, digital and social, marketing and sales
  • Creating narrative, key messages and integrating communications plans in partnership with our clients

Supporting corporate communications

  • Working closely with the Senior Director for External Communications to promote and protect our global reputation

Measure and demonstrate value

  • Understand reputation metrics and how to measure the success of the client story program
