Manager External Financial Reporting

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of External Financial Reporting to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with accounting standards, coordinating the preparation of financial statements, and providing valuable insights to senior management.
As the Manager External Financial Reporting your day to day responsibilities of this role may include, but not be limited to:
Oversee the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual financial statements
Lead the coordination and review process for financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Accounting, Legal, Investor Relations, and External Auditors to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on reporting objectives
Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact on financial reporting and implementing necessary changes accordingly
Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives to streamline the financial reporting process and enhance overall effectiveness
Provide insights and analysis on financial results, trends, and variances to senior management to support strategic decision-making
The successful Manager External Financial Reporting will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Relevant experience in financial reporting
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in financial reporting
Experience with financial reporting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
