Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Manager FCR Transformation & Regulatory Relationships, you will partner with the FCR teams to effectively deliver FCR transformation projects as well as develop and implement the AML/CTF regulatory relationship strategy in partnership with the AMLCO (and Heads of FCR Policy & Advice and FCR Intelligence). You will focus on developing a strong, growing relationship with AUSTRAC and relevant the AML/CTF Regulators as well as:

  • assist the AMLCO in managing AUSTRAC relationship matters and ensuring compliance with AML/CTF regulations;
  • lead and oversee administrative matters related to AML/CTF obligations and provide regular reporting to Tabcorp’s Board and relevant committees;
  • provide advice on financial crime risk assessments and support business units in introducing new products/services while assessing associated financial crime risks;
  • identify opportunities for FCR service and process improvements and support the FCR team in delivering transformation projects;
  • act as the primary contact with external consultants for FCR matters and represent the FCR team on the Financial Crime Uplift Group;
  • lead research on AML/CTF regulation changes and advising Senior Management on operational changes required to meet new standards; and
  • engage in quality assurance reviews and assist in managing AML/CTF related incidents and compliance issues,

To be successful in this role you’ll be an accomplished professional in legal, compliance or financial crime roles within large, complex and highly regulated industries. Additionally, you’ll ideally possess:

  • experience in managing communications with regulators;
  • experience drafting compliance policies, creating operational procedures, setting service standards and defining SLA’s;
  • experience completing risk assessments and a contemporary knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies;
  • experience researching regulation change, reporting on gap analysis and advising the impact on policy changes;
  • proven ability to operate and influence at senior levels and have a positive impact on senior management and a FCR culture;
  • solid ability to work in an agile environment;
  • proven analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills combined with a practical and commercial focus;
  • excellent communication and stakeholder management skills which enable you to engage, influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders across the business
