Description:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a Federal Government Contracting environment required
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense preferred
- Self-starter and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated advanced MS Excel usage
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skillsExcellent communication and teamwork skill
Responsibilities:
Supports Controller by preparing corporate budgets and forecasts, providing analysis, and operationalizing the reporting of financial metrics and financial performance objectives across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Enhances the corporate budget process and model to ensure annual plans and forecasts accurately capture costs across all verticals and functional areas
- Works with leaders throughout the organization to develop budgets that support corporate growth and manage costs in a competitive environment
- Ensures final budgets are entered in the ERP and reports are issued to allow leaders across the organization to manage their budgets and be held accountable
- Presents financial performance data to leaders in the organization and works with the Project Management Office and Project Financial Control groups to ensure estimates-to-complete are based on accurately forecasted indirect rates.
- Assists with month-end activities to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met
- Assists with comparative financial statement preparation (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows) and analysis of the results
- Supports integration of affiliate entities into Emmes’ financial reporting
- Ensures intercompany balances between Emmes and its affiliates are reconciled
- Leads or assists with ad-hoc assignments and analysis as needed
- Promote a high-quality customer experience for both internal and external clients
- Other duties as assigned
