About the Role
The Manager Financial Systems at Country Fire Authority (CFA) drives the enhancement and transformation of financial systems, ensuring compliance and meeting organisational needs. Responsibilities include strategic management of financial systems, collaboration across departments, leading finance transformations, expert advisory to senior finance leaders on finance system optimisation and utilisation, improve data analytics capability, team mentoring, policy design, training delivery and industry representation, crucial for supporting CFA’s financial objectives.

Working alongside and mentoring the Finance & Procurement team whilst reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer you will take ownership and responsibility of the following:

  • Collaborate across departments for process automation and improvement.
  • Oversee future ERP configuration aligned with best practices.
  • Foster a data-driven culture for enhanced reporting.
  • Drive utilisation of IT tools and leverage systems to build digitisation capability in Finance.
  • Strengthen and automate controls to improve compliance.
  • Design policies to manage financial system risks.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and support change initiatives to maximise benefits and outcomes.
  • Mentor and lead the Financial Systems team.
  • Provide training and support for system users.
  • Share thought leadership and best practices.
  • Represent CFA in forums with expert leadership.
