JOB TITLE: Manager, Framework & Data Insights – Consumer Lending Chief Controls Office
LOCATION: Chester, Leeds or Manchester
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity
This Manager role is within our Framework & Data Insights Team and presents an opportunity to join the newly-formed Consumer Lending Chief Controls Office, delivering a broad range of activities that focus on how Consumer Lending as a business manages its non-financial risk and control environment.
We’re putting in place a fresh operating model for non-financial risk management across Lloyds Banking Group, empowering our people to take end-to-end accountability for managing the risks they face. This means we’re changing how we do risk and control management, creating a team of control specialists to provide support to our risk and control owners

What you’ll be doing

  • Influencing developments to the risk and control framework, optimising their implementation in Consumer Lending, and monitoring performance to standards
  • Implementing specific risk framework requirements including but not limited to scenario analysis, and monitoring others (eg RCSA performance)
  • Building and driving adoption of real-time, data-led, visually-engaging insights on risk framework and end-to-end control performance, across all Consumer Lending products
  • Building capability and confidence across the Consumer Lending risk and control community in the practical, analytical and technical skills they need to succeed now, and in the future
  • Building relationships across all lines of risk management to understand future requirements and business needs, and to drive action on specific issues and continuous improvement across the control environment.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for a risk & control framework and reporting professional, ideally with a qualification and experience in a related field (eg audit or risk & control management) or, alternatively, having gained expertise through experience in a similar function along with:

  • Knowledge of operational risk frameworks and skills to apply their requirements and associated activity (including scenario analysis, key indicators, event and loss reporting. and RCSA).
  • Knowledge of operational risk management systems (such as Open Pages) and reporting toolkits (such as Power BI and Tableau) which can be applied risk and control environment reporting, together with knowledge of technical enablement approaches in relating to tooling capability in order to find opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Experience of data-led control management and its practical implementation. Strong organisational skills to lead preparation of documentation that includes summarising data and information to produce and maintain standardised risk and control process maps. Ability to provide support to the ongoing development of control tooling solutions to enable optimisation and automation of the control environment.
  • Ability to understand and assimilate different sources of data and complex information to support effective problem solving that leads to relevant conclusions and recommendations. Experience of demonstrating strong analytical skills to assess control environment effectiveness using wide range of information and sources to identify potential impacts on the business
  • Demonstrates ability and leadership in enable production of concise risk committee level reporting outputs on the effectiveness and performance of controls and compliance
