Description:

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is responsible for maximizing the profitability of the Franchise channel by managing the business of assigned franchise partners (accounts) within specified regions across Emerging Markets Central end-to-end. In addition to driving Net Sales and meeting and exceeding set Sales targets, the key responsibility of this role is to establish trustworthy, reliable, stable, and profitable partnerships, while respecting adidas’ brand image, adidas’ values including respect and integrity, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire day-to-day operations for the assigned franchising accounts within specific regions.
  • Ensure partners’ compliance as per the signed agreements between adidas and the partners.
  • Ensure reliable and cost-efficient supply of merchandise and responsiveness for requests and complaints of the franchise partners and/ or consumers in the assigned territories.
  • Develop and execute strategies and tactics with the franchise partners to ensure long-term business success.
  • Conduct regular business reviews internally and externally, such as Trading Calls and Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Execute projects and initiatives to drive brand awareness, brand heat, market share growth, profitability as well as consumer loyalty.
  • Protect the strategic positioning of the brand which fits the expectations and needs of the target markets.
  • Understand the marketplace for the assigned territories, understand the brand’s competition, keep knowledge up to date with regards to the sports industry, retail, digital, and other relevant consumer trends.
  • Collaborate closely with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to keep reacting to the fast-changing retail marketplace within your assigned territories, with the aim to drive market share growth, profitability, consumer obsession, and to ensure a harmonized and well-segmented marketplace while avoiding cannibalization from other channels (e.g., Wholesale, Digital).
  • Develop and maintain personal relationships with key decision-takers on highest possible levels internally and externally and leverage own Senior Management.
  • Independently take ownership of assigned project work to ensure the delivery of projects on-time and within the agreed objectives.
  • Track progress of ongoing initiatives and measure the “return on investment”.
  • Act as the expert point of contact for internal stakeholders and franchise partners for your assigned territories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products (priority: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong influential skills and understanding of the organization.
  • Fluent in English
  • Additional languages are an advantage (e.g., Arabic)

Requisite Education and Experience/ Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Business, ideally with Sales focus or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4-5 years of experience within Sales, Account Management, Sales Excellence, Project Management, Business Development, Retail Operations, Finance, or similar field
  • Understanding of Sales, Account Management, Retail, Merchandising, Project Management, Finance, Internal Controls
  • Ideally, industry experience in Sports/ Fashion/ FMCG
