Description:

The Manager of Health Coaching Services improves health and wellness outcomes by managing the implementation and maintenance of health coaching processes, techniques, and resources. Coordinates and collaborates with FMOLHS Quality and Healthcare Innovation Center and Human Resources in order to ensure effective integration with organizational strategies, applications, and processes. Facilitates training requirements and certification of the health coaching team.

Assure evidence-based medicine (EBM) script standards are followed by all coaches.

  • Oversees and evaluates coaching techniques to assure EBMplan member health needs.
  • Assists director in evidence-based medicine and other scripts to parallel overall employer health plan strategies.
  • Support director by maintaining an understanding of the needs and changing priorities of the organization and focuses on clinical solutions to address member health issues and care needs.
  • Provides confidential and professional guidance to employer organizations by analyzing and interpreting information toward ensuring prudent and efficient member management, when needed for the director.

Collaborates with director to assure creation of policies and procedures maintain a high standard of coaching.

  • Maintains accurate records for use in evaluating organizational performance.
  • Identifies ways of improving current services and consults with management on issues and problems.
  • Assists in recommending, developing, and coordinating the implementation of policies and procedures regarding clinical advocate guidelines for employer organizations and reviews the utilization and application of those procedures.
  • Estimates future departmental personnel, equipment, and supply needs in order to ensure the attainment of operating goals. Develops, recommends, and implements the annual capital equipment, personnel, and operating budget for the department.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of departmental performance, analyzes budget variances, and implements responsive action.

Provide growth for staff

  • Provides guidance and support to staff members and facilitates effective problem-solving among employees.
  • Reviews staff performance, identifies performance deficits, and implements prudent recommendations that promote staff efficiency.
  • Provides the team with direction and vision and fosters teamwork to create a work culture that values and encourages collaboration.
  • Promotes and encourages the growth and development of staff members.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years experience in a leadership role
  • 5 years experience in a clinical role

EDUCATION:

  • See licensure requirements.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
