Description:
Responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and operation of the allied health
services in the Northern Health Region (NHR).
The rehabilitation services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, audiology,
and acute care social work. This position functions in a manner consist with the Mission, Vision and Values, policies
and procedures of the NHR.
The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry check
and Adult Abuse Registry check, and adhere to all Northern Health Region policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Baccalaureate degree in a health care discipline or health care administration/leadership an asset
- Eligible to practice and maintain membership/licensure with the professional organization/College of
Manitoba
- Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience
- Two (2) years’ comprehensive experience related to the position
- Thorough knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
- Demonstrated experience in human resource management and labour relations
- Knowledge of current practices of rehabilitation in services in all allied health disciplines
- Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
