    About the job
    The Manager, HR Operations & Compliance will drive the execution of HR-related projects on time, within scope and budget. In this project-based role, the incumbent will develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
    This is a 12-month temporary position that will be responsible for the delivery of HR projects for our Canadian organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to implement changes, updates, and new policies to maintain compliance and mitigate risk
  • Stay up to date with employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure company policies and practices are in compliance
  • Define and track metrics to help uncover opportunities for improvement
  • Design people-centric programs designed to elevate and empower our teams

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of HR experience, including HRBP and corporate/leadership roles
  • Preferred: Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Highly desirable: Professional HR certification (e.g., CHRL)
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures
  • Proven experience managing HR projects from start to finish
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze complex HR issues and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English required, English/French bilingualism an asset)
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience in managing HR-related change initiatives

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with HRIS (Workday)
  • Ability to leverage technology to enhance HR compliance and streamline project execution.
  • Experience working with Canadian federally regulated employers
