Summarized Purpose:
The Manager HR will manage the HR Delivery function and will partner with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives. They will direct the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
  • 1+ year of leadership responsibility
    In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong consultative and management skills
  • Knowledge of employment law regulations
  • Proficient in problem solving and prioritizing
  • Workd effectively with all levels of employees
  • Strong customer focus
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills for analysis and presentation of data

Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advises management on staff relation issues, identifies problems, and uses independent judgment in resolving problems by interpreting policies and weighing alternative approaches.
  • Provides frequent, high-quality, valuable advice and counsel to the business team on HR issues. Represents the corporate perspectives when collaborating with client groups. Maintains current knowledge of the individuals, functions, and environment in assigned division(s).
  • Manages HR Delivery programs, ensuring effective communication to client groups and employees.
  • Develops and implements HR policies and procedures. Provides guidance to management on policy interpretation and administration.
  • Delivers and participates in management development training.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the HR Delivery team

MANAGEMENT ROLE:

  • Manages experienced professionals and / or subordinate management who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Often heads one or more sections or a small department.
