Accounts Payable, Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to be part of a first class Global SSC. The SSC will be based in Woodlands, Singapore, close to our global manufacturing and regional sales facilities. The SSC will centralize all global accounting for the Company (US, EU, Asia Pacific). In-charge of payables management (payment and accounting) for the Global SSC responsible for month end closing process, liability accruals and analytical reporting on performance and Company KPI.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting with at least 10 years of Payables accounting in MNC and Shared Services Center environment
  • Prior People management experience in leading a team of direct reports
  • Mature with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • General all round accounting skills with analytical experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage interpersonal relationships with internal/ external customers
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications and user experience in SAP ERP system

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the SSC Director, activities cover:

  • Supervise a team of Accounts Specialists
  • Enforcer of Corporate Policies and DOA
  • Ensure internal control compliance on Accounts Payable processes.
  • Drive the payment and accounting processes across the ASM entities supported by SSC
  • Ensure liability accruals procedures are observed and correctly executed
  • Responsible for quality and timely B/S reconciliation and B/S schedule preparation, escalation of problem accounts
  • Provide relevant supporting returns and schedules for tax and statutory reporting
  • Develop and enhance payment and accounting systems and processes to meet the evolving needs of the business
  • Support sustainability and other adhoc reporting
  • Support projects such as S4/Hana upgrade, Concur, Ariba, Global Travel and other adhoc initiatives
  • Work with other functions throughout ASM to deliver KPI and other key objectives.
