QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Engineering or Business disciplines.
  2. 5+ years of relevant experience in innovation and organizational excellence
  3. Highly analytical and structured thinking, a love for numbers and problem solving, with strong ability to think creatively.
  4. Ability to assess and handle financial, confidential, and sensitive information appropriately in the best interest of the company.
  5. Financial literacy is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

This Operations Manager will be operations ready to lead, inspire, and guide a diverse team of Operations Specialists to ensure the day-to-day operational requirements are met. The incumbent will collaborate directly with 15 other key stakeholders from Heads of Departments to Branch Leads in CCL and many others within SMRT.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop strategies to improve, promote and implement initiatives and inculcate an innovative culture in CCL. Drive for continuous improvements and develop policies to inspire and recognize staff towards a Human Organization.
  2. Participate and continue to build strategic engagements with Union to sustain the good Labor Management Relations.
  3. Establish plans to improve communication, collaboration in CCL to bond teams and improve commitment, ownership of workforce in the new norm.
  4. Analyze financial data for insights on achieving cost prudence in the fiscal year and identify major cost drivers to realize long term financial sustainability. Facilitate the monthly Dollar$ & Sense meeting and present key findings on behalf of the Team.
  5. Manage and administer staff feedback, highlight issues, and ensure adequate closure in the CCL Staff Engagement and Feedback meeting.
  6. Arrange and facilitate quarterly CCL Kaizen Steering Committee meetings and maintain oversight on set targets for CCL. Track, and monitor CCL’s performance to align with Corporate and Trains objectives.
  7. Adapt well to existing technology and anchor the knowledge management framework; continue to stay ahead of technological advancement to lead the Team forward in the digital age.
  8. Ensure Zero non-compliance against financial policy/manual and procurement policy/manual by conducting quarterly Level 1A sampling checks in Team.
  9. Under the Matrix structure, dual reporting to the System Owner and System Administrator for CCL Access Management System (AMS) is necessary. To oversee the general system administration and provide guidance to Senior Operations Specialist in fulfilling all audit requirements.
  10. Periodic review of all Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Procedures in the team.
  11. Identify key processes for documentation and continuous improvements. Assume the role of Document Controller Officer (DCO), co-held by author (Prepared By), for respective documents prepared within Office.
  12. To creatively plan, lead and organize staff events to foster camaraderie amongst staff to build teams and drive collaborative winning partnerships.
  13. Render any other assistance to CCL Senior Management as directed.
