Who we’re looking for
At Zendesk, we empower our teams to bring calm to the chaotic world of customer service. As the Manager of the Tactical Transaction Team, you will lead a team of motivated sales executives who handle high-velocity customer interactions while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your role will be pivotal in steering the team’s efforts to articulate the value of Zendesk to an informed buyer through various touch points across the customer journey.
Segment: Enterprise, Midmarket, Commercial; Responsible for uncovering and closing

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and develop a team of Inside Sales Account Executives; setting team targets, and providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Drive the team’s strategic direction and ensure alignment with Zendesk’s broader business objectives.
  • Monitor team performance against sales goals and KPIs, ensuring high standards of customer interactions.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and efficiency in sales techniques and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with other sales and marketing teams to enhance lead generation and pipeline growth.
  • Handle escalated customer situations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Contribute to recruitment and training of new team members, upholding the Zendesk culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

What you bring to the role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales dynamics and customer service in the SaaS or software industry.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive both strategic and tactical execution.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales management, preferably in software/SaaS.

Please note that anyone hired into this position must be physically located in and plan to work from Mexico City (CDMX) or Mexico State (Estado de Mexico).
