JOB SUMMARY

The Manager IT Franchise Services EMEA forms part of the IT Operations group and reports to the Director IT Franchises Services EMEA.
Provide day to day IT direction, management, and assistance to Franchise Hotels. The role assists Franchise Properties with their network connectivity to Marriott. Liaises with properties and third parties in escalation of their IT related issues. Communicate Marriott’s technology and initiatives effectively to the Franchise community. Educate the franchise community on Marriott IT policies and processes. Coordinates/manages installations, conversions, network changes, troubleshooting and maintenance efforts with various technology representatives. Works with MI project leaders at a broad level to ensure alignment as required with the Franchisees. Is current with technical, business knowledge and experience to provide support of IT hardware, software and generates related communications. Addresses inquires from properties in relation to IT Hardware and Software bearing in mind Marriott Technology Standards and Exercises prudence especially when communicating with Franchisees.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Solid relationship building skills (client, vendor, peers)
  • plus years demonstrated track record in hotel IT support, installation of hotel systems and managing projects of small to medium size .
  • Significant experience and demonstrated leadership in information systems management and enabling technologies
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with Marriott’s technology (both current and future roadmap)
  • Experience working with or for Franchise hotel locations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Technical knowledge and skills related to Marriott’s computing environment
  • Experience with multiple brands.

EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION

  • Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Project management experience required

TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPUTER:

  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Virtualisation Technologies (Inc. VMWare)
  • Edge Managed Network Switching
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN & VPN technologies including MPLS and IFLI Integration
  • Knowledge Microsoft Terminal Services
  • Internet Security Technologies
  • Voice IP telephony including Hosted
  • Marriott International desktop build process preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS/OTHER:

  • Knowledge of Marriott datacentre environments
  • Marriott Security Compliancy & PCI-DSS requirements
  • Oracle Opera Property Management Systems/Sales & Catering
  • Oracle Simphony Point of Sale
  • Golf, Leisure, Spa and other Marriott Operational Systems
  • Marriott Global Property Network Standards (GPNS)
  • Marriott Guest Room Entertainment Standards (GRE)
  • Marriott Digital and Contactless Experience Solutions including Mobile Key, Mobile Check-in, Mobile Dining, Empower GXP
  • Cloud and Above Property Backup Solutions
  • EFT Credit Card Systems
  • Trouble shooting & resolution skills for PCs, operating systems, servers, peripherals, etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical managers.
  • PCI-DSS / PII security compliance
  • IT Project Management experience preferred
